Theme Park Award Nominations
Excitement is building across the East Coast as Pleasurewood Hills prepares for a landmark day at the UK Theme Park Awards 2025, taking place on Thursday 18th September at Wicksteed. The annual ceremony brings together the nation’s most popular theme parks, recognising excellence in attractions, hospitality, and innovation. With industry leaders and regional favourites in attendance, it promises to be a showcase of the very best the UK has to offer in family entertainment.
This year, Pleasurewood Hills has achieved a remarkable five nominations, demonstrating the park’s continued commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences. The shortlist includes Best Theme Park for Thrills, Best Seaside Park, and Best Re-imagined Attraction for the iconic rollercoaster Wipeout, which has been carefully reimagined for the 2025 season. The park is also competing for Best Value Park, a category that highlights its dedication to offering families affordable fun without compromising on quality. Perhaps most notably, Pleasurewood Hills has been recognised in the Best Integration of Technology for Guest Experience category, thanks to its groundbreaking use of facial recognition technology in ride photography, developed in partnership with E.P.T.
The nominations are more than just an honour — they are a reflection of the park’s progress, innovation, and connection with its loyal visitors. With investment in both new technologies and refreshed attractions, Pleasurewood Hills continues to stand out as a destination where tradition meets forward-thinking entertainment.
Speaking about the nominations, Andrew Fuller, Sales and Marketing Manager at Pleasurewood Hills, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to have received five nominations at this year’s UK Theme Park Awards. It’s a huge achievement for everyone at the park, and we’re incredibly grateful to our visitors, whose continued support makes moments like this possible. Being recognised across such a wide range of categories shows how far we’ve come, from thrilling rides to innovative guest experiences. The whole team is excited for the awards and proud to be representing the East Coast at a national level.”
The excitement stretches beyond Suffolk too. As part of the Looping Group, which operates several popular attractions across the UK, the news is also a triumph for the wider family. Sister parks Drayton Manor and West Midlands Safari Park have both secured nominations in multiple categories, underlining the group’s strength and reputation within the industry. Together, these recognitions highlight the group’s ability to deliver excellence in a variety of settings, from adrenaline-fuelled rollercoasters to unforgettable wildlife experiences.
As the big day approaches, all eyes will be on Wicksteed to see which parks will take home the trophies. For Pleasurewood Hills, the nominations alone are a clear sign of success and a reason to celebrate — but with five chances to win, the team has plenty to look forward to on the day.
