Prepare for some spooktacular fun this October half term with a visit to Pleasurewood Chills.
The Halloween-theme fun runs from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 October when you can enjoy all the usual rides, shows and attractions, as well as some spooky extras.
On Wednesday 27 October, the park welcomes Shrek for a special meet and greet. Fans of the movies can say hello and have a picture taken with the loveable green ogre. Shrek will be at the Castle Theatre at intervals during the afternoon.
Take a seat on the Woodland Express which has been transformed into the Train of Tiny Terrors. As the train winds its way around the usual route, keep your eyes peeled for some Halloween additions that will leave you smiling rather than screaming.
Venture down Main Street and head into the Creepy Caves where you’ll see some special creepy crawlies and learn more about these fascinating creatures.
Get creative in the Shop of Little Horrors and carve your very own pumpkin design. A small charge applies but you’ll be able to take your pumpkin home with you.
On selected days, a team of East Coast College students will be doing face painting and special effects make up. Pick from a choice of fang-tastic designs or, if you dare, ask them to put their special effects makeup skills to the test.
If you get a thrill from the scary side of Halloween, go for the Extreme Scream upgrade which gives you entry to two scare mazes. Shaft 13: The Legend of Hob and Hell Express will be making a return to the park with some new twists and turns for extra thrills which will keep guests on their toes. Beware – only the bravest adventurers should enter (minimum age of 12 years applies, guest discretion is advised).
Pleasurewood Chills will end with a spectacular bang on Sunday 31 October when the skies will be lit up with a fantastic firework display. The team from Titanium will create a display to remember as they combine a magical mix of music, fireworks and lighting effects.
