Access

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is a great day out for the whole family!  Set in 50 acres of coastal parkland in Lowestoft, only minutes south of Great Yarmouth.

You’ll come for the rides and you’ll stay for the shows. Be prepared to be entertained with a range of first class shows including the awesome antics of the Sea Lions, the hilarious Parrots and the breathtaking Circus & Street Arts spectacular. 
  
Our grounds, rides and facilities are disabled friendly and every effort is made for the disabled visitor to enjoy their day. 
   
Pre-Arrival

• Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is the largest paid for attraction in East Anglia.

• Our brochure is distributed throughout the region in tourist venues, tourist information centres, holiday centres, railway stations and points of interest.  Full contact details are displayed in our literature and on our website, which has larger font choices if required.

• Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is situated off the A12 at Lowestoft and only 10 minutes south of Great Yarmouth.  The nearest train station is Lowestoft.  Buses and taxies are available from station. Bus users will have a short walk from the bus stop to the park, which is clearly signposted. 

• Wheel chairs can be hired at the Park.  Mobility scooters can be hired from Beactive Tel. No. 01502 568848.    
 
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• Disabled parking is free and situated near to reception and the entrance of the Park.  The parking is a gravelled area leading to tarmac roads and pathways.  Upon entering the Park please follow disabled signage, and vehicles can be parked to allow rear access.  
 
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

• The Park is open from 10am April to October annually.  These dates and times are not consecutive so please check our website or ring for full opening times and dates.  Both the main entrance and reception are disabled friendly with ramps and wide pathways and hand rails. 
 
Public Areas

• All roads and pathways are wide allowing for buggies and wheelchairs.  All shops restaurants are also suitable for disabled access and are spacious with a large range of merchandise.  Some rides may not be suitable for some guests but help and assistance is available if required. 
 
Public WC's

• Disabled toilets are available throughout the Park, their location can be obtained from our Park map given upon arrival or downloaded from our website.  Baby changing facilities are also available.   
 
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area, Take Away & Cafe

• Pleasurewood Hills offers an excellent range of food to suit all tastes, from the fast food to a fully licensed restaurant.  Our restaurants are large and spacious with clear menus clearly displayed outside and within each food outlet. 
 
Shops

• Our retail sites offer souvenirs, toys and a variety or sweets and drinks.  These are well laid out with wall and floor mounted display units.  The extensive range of merchandise is neatly and tidily presented, in spacious surroundings and all clearly priced.  In the arcades, there are also games and tests of skills. 
 
Grounds and Gardens

• Set in 50 acres of coastal parkland with mown grass, trees and flower beds.  Throughout the Park areas have been set aside for picnics.  Sorry no B B Qs allowed at the Park

Rides

For health and safety reasons admission to rides is based on height and any restrictions in place will be indicated at the ride entrance. Any safety restrictions are included within the descriptions of the rides. Young children may need to be accompanied by an adult on some rides.

Weather

At Pleasurewood Hills the safety and welfare of our guests is of primary importance to us. From time to time it may be necessary to close rides or attractions due to lightening, rain, high winds or other adverse weather conditions. We regret that no refunds can be offered for any temporary or permanent closures during your visit.

Lockers and Kiddy Karts

Guests can access lockers located at the park entrance to store bags and personal belongings that may not be permitted on some rides. Any valuables left unattended are done so at the owner's risk. Locker keys are available from reception at a cost of £3 a day and a £2 returnable deposit. We also have Kiddy Karts for hire at a cost of £5 per day; these are available from the Emporium gift shop from 10.30am.

Children

We allow children over the age of 12 are allowed on the park un-accompanied, anyone under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. 

Payment

We are happy to accept all major credit and debit cards at the park admissions, Main Street shop, Emporium gift shop, Flying Fish and the Merry Mariner diner. Cash back facility is only available at admissions when purchasing your entry tickets or Main Street shop when purchasing gifts. We regret that cheques and American Express are no longer accepted at Pleasurewood Hills. Cash machines available in our Main Street shop.

Same Day Re-entry

You will be given a wristband when you pay for entry. Please make sure that you do not remove your wristband on the day of your visit - if you wish to leave the Park and return just show your wristband on the gate.

Disabled

We welcome visits from disabled guests and we will endeavour to do all we can to make your visit a safe and enjoyable one. Certain rides in the park are quite demanding physically and we therefore reserve the right to refuse admission to these rides where we believe there may be a danger to one or more individuals, for whatever reason. Refusal to allow admission does not constitute discrimination when based on Health & Safety guidelines and we trust that you will understand these decisions in the interests of guest safety. Disabled toilets available.

Lost Children

Pleasurewood Hills does not operate an in-park pager system so please ensure your group has a specific meeting place agreed in advance. If a child becomes separated from your group, please contact a member of staff for assistance.

Baby Changing

Our baby changing and feeding facilities are located in the centre of the park at the parrot show building.
