In a special promotion this weekend – the 15th and 16th August, visitors to Pleasurewood Hills family fun park near Lowestoft will be offered the choice of going ‘smokefree’ for the day.
The NHS Smokefree Roadshow will be at the Park with an interactive photo booth, together with free advice from trained representatives for those who would like to give it a try.
The initiative is being promoted by the NHS as a fun and interesting way to engage people at a time when they are enjoying summer days out with the family. The campaign promotes the benefits of quitting – not least the ability to keep up with the kids! There will be trained advisors on hand who will offer encouragement for those who would like to take part.
Park Director, Yves Delhommeau said ‘Pleasurewood Hills is all about providing a fun day out for the whole family to enjoy, which fits perfectly with this NHS campaign. Whilst smoking will still be permitted during the weekend, the emphasis of this campaign is on having fun with your family and giving support to any visitors who would like to take a day off from smoking.’
