Metre-high duck for sale!

‘Quacker’, the Pleasurewood Hills-sponsored duck from the 2009 Beccles Duck Art Trail will be off to a new home after he is auctioned off on Friday 16th October 2009.

Quacker was one of 20 ducks in the Trail which ran until the end of September, helping to raise money for local charities, schools and community groups.  During the trail, he could be found outside the Three Horse Shoes public house at North Cove, near Beccles.

Beautifully decorated by Pleasurewood Hill’s very own Park artist, Steve Harvey, Quacker features silhouettes of many of the rides and attractions from the Park on his base.
Denise Thompson, Commercial and PR Manager at Pleasurewood Hills said “Quacker is a beautiful duck and we’d love him to go to a good home.  He’s very well-behaved, always has a smile for everybody and is very easy to look after!” she continued “we’re hoping for a few bidders on the day so we can raise money for two very good causes.”

Proceeds from the sale of Quacker will be shared between the Norfolk-based Break Charity and Barnby & North Cove Primary School.  Interested bidders should go along to the Beccles Auction Rooms, in Peddars Lane, on Friday 16th October 2009.

Pleasurewood Hills will be open for the October half-term holidays with some scary Halloween treats in store.
