The team at Pleasurewood Hills are delighted to have won the ‘Best Visitor Experience’ award in the 2009 Tourism in Suffolk Awards. And as a further endorsement, the Park was also a finalist for the ‘Best Large Visitor Attraction’ in Suffolk.
The Tourism in Suffolk Awards, now in their 4th year, are organised by Archant Suffolk and this year were supported by Choose Suffolk as the main sponsor. The awards aim to showcase the professionalism, innovation and expertise demonstrated by many businesses and organisations who are involved in the tourism industry which is so important to the region.
Yves Delhommeau, Park Director said “We are absolutely delighted to be honoured in this way. This provides tangible recognition for the investment and hard work put in by the entire team. Our aim at the Park has always been to provide our visitors with a great day out – a real day to remember – and this award demonstrates that we are delivering exactly that!”
In recent years, there has been significant investment in renovating the park, refurbishing all restaurants, building new facilities and adding new visitor attractions - including ‘Wipeout’ and ‘Woody’s Flying School’. Well over 200,000 visitors are welcomed each year to enjoy the fantastic rides, first-class shows and a whole host of fabulous entertainment for all the family.
