There will be four times the fun on offer to visitors at Suffolk and Norfolk attractions this summer.
Pleasurewood Hills, the region’s largest family theme park, Great Yarmouth Race Course, Merrivale Model Village and the Sealife Centre in Great Yarmouth have come together to offer visitors incentives when out and about this holiday season with a new Passport for the four attractions.
Offers include two for one at the Sealife Centre and Pleasurewood Hills, with savings up to £16.50, savings of up to £6 with £1 off per person for up to six people at the Model Village and a saving at Great Yarmouth Race Course of up to £10 on entry for any race date in 2010.
With each of the venues covering a different attraction, it’s ideal for holiday-makers or locals who want to have a range of fun outings.
Denise Thompson from Pleasurewood Hills, recent winners of the Best Visitor Experience, said: “Working together in the tourism industry is important and we continually aim to improve our visitor experience by offering great incentives for the benefit of our visitors.”
There’s a couple of new arrivals at the Sealife centre, too, as an added bonus. Craftsmen have recreated part of an ancient Egyptian temple at a cost of more than £100,000 as home to a pair of West African dwarf crocodiles.
“The Sealife Centre has worked closely with other local attractions over recent years and is therefore delighted, in 2010, to be a part of the new four-attraction Passport which will offer all our visitors a fantastic opportunity to experience such a varied range of fun days out – there is something on the Passport for everyone rain or shine,” said Terri Harris, attraction manager at the Great Yarmouth centre.
Glen Tubby from Great Yarmouth Racecourse said: “I am delighted to be associated with this initiative demonstrating how local tourist attractions can work with each other to the benefit of all. Attracting people to the area really is a team effort and I am sure we will benefit from the cross promotional activity.”
Merrivale’s Peter Williamson said: “Merrivale Model Village is very proud to be linking up with such high-quality and high-profile attractions. It’s sure to be winner with the tourists and local visitors alike.”
